David Thompson joined our firm in 2009 after practicing insurance litigation in Toronto, Ontario. He handles complex litigation files, ranging from personal injury to multi-party construction litigation. David’s common-sense approach to advocacy has earned him the respect of colleagues and opponents, and produced favourable results for his clients.
David has embraced life in Barrie. He enjoys the collegiality of the local bar, and he was pleasantly surprised to find that Barrie’s Thai and Indian restaurants are just as good as in Toronto. David sits on the board of Habitat for Humanity Huronia, the special events committee of the Barrie Film Festival, and is an active member of the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association (SCYPA). David regularly organizes charitable projects through his local church group, and he provides pro bono legal services to local families through Pro Bono Law Ontario.
In his free time, David enjoys running, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, tennis, travelling and spending time with his nieces and nephews watching cat videos on YouTube. David is fluent in German and Swedish.

Bold just seems
right to us.
We never lose sight
of the big picture.
We dig deep.
Preparation Wins Cases.
Call us if you've stepped in it.
We can handle the truth.
Where there's a will,
there's a way.
