Corey spent part of his articles with the firm and joined as an associate in 2008. He spent several years practicing insurance related litigation in Toronto before re-joining the firm in 2013. Corey has represented clients at trial and handled matters before the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Corey’s practice encompasses all kinds of insurance related litigation including but not limited to motor vehicle litigation (tort & accident benefits), construction/property claims, occupiers’ liability, subrogation, environmental litigation, personal injury, and coverage opinions/litigation. Corey’s practice also includes various estate litigation matters such as will challenges, guardianship applications, and power of attorney disputes.
As a founding chair of the Simcoe County Young Professionals Association (SCYPA), he focused on building professional networks to assist and increase retention of young professionals in the local community. He has continued his local engagement through his work as 1st Vice President of the Simcoe County Law Association and as Chair of their Library Committee.
In his free time, Corey enjoys snowboarding, eating cheese, video games, ranting about politics to anyone who will listen (most often his young daughters), and also has a strong interest in keeping current on new technological developments.
