David joined our firm in 2009 after practicing insurance litigation in Toronto, Ontario. He entered the partnership in 2018. David handles complex litigation files such as multi-party construction litigation, personal injury, shareholder disputes and real estate litigation. David’s common-sense approach to advocacy has earned him the respect of colleagues and opponents and produced favourable results for his clients.
David currently serves as secretary on the board of Habitat for Humanity Huronia and volunteers every year with the Barrie Film Festival. He regularly organizes charitable projects through his local church group and provides pro bono education law services through Pro Bono Law Ontario.
Outside of the office, one of David’s greatest passions is running. He trains with the Barrie RunNinjas and recently completed his first marathon. He plans do to do more and has his sights set on qualifying for the Boston Marathon. He is almost as passionate about karaoke and equates the thrill of performing on a karaoke stage to that of performing in a courtroom.
David is fluent in German and Swedish. He is trying very hard to learn Spanish.
